books or their movie adaptations. which one is better? really.
that’s a question that haunts every cinephile and bibliophile. and there doesn’t seem to be an end to this debate any time soon. maybe it doesn’t even need a debate. what if we all just agreed that sometimes the book is better and sometimes a movie just brings scenes to life in a way that a book could never do.
but what do you do when you love both of them equally? and you just happen to be one gifted designer.
that’s what matt stevens is.
in his series titled, ‘good movies as old books’, this charlotte based designer and illustrator picked a few of his favourite movies and imagined them as vintage book covers. yeah. he just turned the concept over on its head.
and we love them.
