most of us would probably remember those days, when we would use embroidered patches of cartoons or insignias to cover up tears on our denims or just as a way to express who we really are.
yeah. well. some of us just don’t let go of things so easily. not especially if these embroidered patches are tattooed on us.
yeah. that’s what min zumi – a sydney based tattoo artist at authentink does.
he designs tattoos of pop culture characters but does them in a way that they look as if they have been embroidered onto your skin. he creates this effect by creating thin lines of different colours and shades which creates the illusion of thread.
min zumi says that each tattoo takes him between 3 hours to 6 hours depending on the complexity of the design. over time, min zumi has created tattoos on banjo and kazooie from the popular video game series to goku to a whole host of pokemon characters and even homer simpson.
here are a few of min zumi’s tattoo designs that caught our eye. you can follow his work on his instagram handle or even follow authentink – one of sydney’s nicest tattoo studios website or instagram handle.
and if you love interesting tattoo designs, we’re quite sure, you’ll love andreas vrontis and his ascii tattoo art.
