super heroes zip and zoom all around over the galaxy in a bid to save the human race from total annihilation from itself and from extra-terrestrials. sure that’s what they do when they are at work.
but what happens when they clock out for the day?
do they have super hero evenings with flashy parties and drunken night-outs? maybe. or do they live normal lives, like you and me?
greg guillemin aka leon, a french illustrator thinks we really aren’t all that different after all.
in his series, aptly titled the secret lives of superheroes he gives us a glimpse into what he really thinks superheroes do when they switch off. in it, among a host of many superheroes, we see, robocop sip from a bottle of oil, the hulk rolling a joint, captain america nursing a headache and our personal favourite – the thing from the fantastic four applying cement to his body.
here are a few of the images from greg’s ‘the secret lives of super heroes’ series. if you love his sense of humour and his work, you can follow him on his website, on facebook, twitter and instagram.
