this pandemic made sure all of us kept our six feet of distance between each other. whether we liked it or not, we were forced to do it.
and that’s when it hit jeff roy and drake paul – two creative directors from berkeley, california.
what would happen if some of the world’s most famous works of art had to practise social distancing too. and together they came up with a series called ‘the art of quarantine’.
it was their way of getting the social distancing message out in the way they knew best.
the result was quite amusing. seeing works like the scream by edvard munch or the son of man by rené-magritte or even nighthawks by edward hopper without the human elements in it, just gave a whole new meaning while driving home the point that no one is exempt from this covid-19 pandemic.
here are a few of the artworks from ‘the art of quarantine’ series. if you like them you can head over to their website to order a high resolution image. jeff and drake will send it over to you and you can print and frame it. all they ask is for you to make a small donation to a charity of your choice or support a local business.
